About The Position

Unified Women's Healthcare is the leading national platform for women's healthcare with over 900 affiliate practices and 2500 providers in 22 states. Our affiliate partner in New York, Square Care Medical Group, is currently seeking a Full Time WHNP or PA-C to join Downtown Women OB-GYN Associates. Candidate will have their own patient panel seeing OB and GYN clinic patients but will be required to participate in weekend triage call from home 1x per month and 1-2 weekday calls. No inpatient duties are required. Prior OBGYN and menopause management experience preferred but will consider new grads. This highly reputable practice has been serving their community for over 40 years and provides full spectrum state-of-the-art healthcare in obstetrics and gynecology for women throughout their life cycle. They are affiliated with the Tisch Hospital at New York University Langone Medical Center which is a designated Regional Level III Perinatal Center. NYU is one of the premier hospitals in the nation, providing comprehensive maternal and newborn services by a renowned team of perinatologsts and neonatologists.

Requirements

  • National Nurse Practitioner certification or ability to obtain
  • Unrestricted, active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
  • Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
  • CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
  • Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
  • Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
  • Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
  • One year of full-time experience as a Women's Nurse Practitioner or PAC preferred, but will consider new grads

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside 9 physicians and 2 APP's
  • OB and GYN clinic work only with your own patient panel
  • Triage weekend call from home 1x per month and 1-2 weekday calls
  • Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record patient health history
  • Prescribe medications, therapies; order/perform and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures
  • Provide menopause management, family planning services, and patient education and counseling
