Provides nursing and medical services to assigned patients according to the Scope of Practice for Nurse Practitioners as identified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners OR as a Physician Assistant provides primary health care and performs selective medical services under the direction of a Physician. Responsible for providing care to BPN Women's Health patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting, including diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses and emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Services include, but are not limited to ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests; prescription of pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies; and teaching and counseling individuals and groups. Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to diagnose, treat and manage health problems.
