About The Position

The Department of Athletics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment as Head Coach – 12 Months within Collective Bargaining Unit 3. The head women's soccer coach will supervise at least one assistant coach, will coordinate recruiting for the program, coordinate and create scheduling and budget for the program, and will assist the Athletic Director in athletic fund raising for the program. Essential duties and responsibilities include: recruitment of student-athletes who will represent the University and the Athletics program at the highest level, develop games strategy, coordinate scheduling, assist student-athletes in academic matters, scout opponents, meet fundraising goals, manage approved budget, and understand and work within all NCAA and CCAA rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 2 - 3 years NCAA coaching experience at the four-year level.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • a valid driver's license is required for travel, must pass defensive driving and DMV check.
  • First Aid and CPR certified.
  • CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be immunized against COVID-19 or declare a medical or religious exemption from doing so.

  • Preferred 3-5 years coaching experience at the NCAA level, 4-year level.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to navigate social media, multimedia and go pro
  • Demonstrated ability to provide competent support in the administrative requirements of a soccer program (travel coordination, reconciliation of documents, scheduling, and recruiting).
  • Experience as a student-athlete.
  • Demonstrated experience generating alternative streams of revenue, eg., scholarships, sponsorships, camp operations.
