About The Position

As part of the Congregation team at The Austin Stone Community Church and in collaboration with the Central Women’s Ministry, the Women’s Ministry Associate (WMA) will provide women opportunities for connection, equipping, and leadership development and will facilitate and advocate for a flourishing women’s ministry at the congregation. The WMA will serve the unique needs of the women in a way that is consistent in mission, vision and values with the overall ministry. The WMA will report to the Spiritual Formation/Associate Pastor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in a ministry related role or as a Ministry Associate
  • Administration - Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement ministry programming. Integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan. Strong ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with dependability and excellence.
  • Communication - Has clarity of speech and proper use of grammar. Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings. Able to communicate and work within a complex organizational structure with multiple layers of input.
  • Detail Oriented & Organizational Skills - Proven skills in creating, implementing, maintaining, and following through on processes that ensure people are engaged, cared for, informed and connected. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Ability to lead, recruit, resource, and mobilize volunteer teams to scale. Able to successfully develop new and better ways to work and promote a continuous improvement mentality.
  • Collaboration - Collaborate across the organization and with various ministry partners. Willingness to cultivate relationships and networks with other members of The Austin Stone staff to achieve results. Strong complementary leadership skills in relation to the rest of the congregation staff team and an ability to lead in concert with other leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the vision and strategies for women’s ministry at the congregation.
  • Coordinate and lead the women’s leadership team at the congregation.
  • Lead the planning, developing, promotion and execution of all congregation women’s events and resources.
  • Identify and respond to unique discipleship needs within the congregation and provide additional opportunities for the assimilation, spiritual formation, mobilization, and leadership development of women.
  • Participate in the pastoral care and shepherding of Women’s Ministry volunteers.
  • Attend, and participate in all required events and activities for The Austin Stone and Women’s Ministry Department, including staff meetings, prayer meetings, special events, retreats and staff development days.
