The Women's Health Patient Educator provides direct patient education to expectant women and their families within the communities Wellstar serves. In this role, they act as a subject matter expert, teacher, patient coach, researcher, and consultant. The educator is responsible for leading educational courses offered at various patient-centered times and locations, including day, evening, and weekend options. This position reports to the Manager of Women's Health and is responsible for the learning and development needs of those they support. As a member of the Women's Health Service Line, the individual is expected to uphold Wellstar's mission and goals, foster communication and collaborative practice, and serve as a positive role model. This work involves partnership with system and facility resources to ensure alignment and sustainability, covering both system and community activities.
