About The Position

Our affiliate, Unified Women’s Healthcare of the Carolinas, is looking for a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join their prestigious Women's Health Care Center in Hickory, NC. Physician Assistants are also encouraged to apply. Position Highlights: Join an established and successful practice that has served the Hickory area for over 40 years. 1 state of the art office location in Hickory conveniently located very close to the Catawba Valley Medical Center. The practice team consists of 6 OB/GYN physicians, 1 gynecologist, 5 nurse practitioners, 1 certified nurse midwife along with a great administrative support team. 4 days per week work schedule with no nights, weekends, call, or hospital shifts. Practice is open to potentially different schedule structures to meet individual needs. Duties include seeing patients, completing charting, answering patient phone calls, patient education, sending prescriptions electronically or by phone, and administering medication among other patient care duties. Patient Census in Clinic: up to 20-25 per day. Will perform and assist with some minimally invasive procedures that can be completed in the office, such as pap smears, endometrial biopsies, and IUD placements. Requirements

  • National Nurse Practitioner certification or ability to obtain
  • Unrestricted, active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
  • Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
  • CPR and BLS Certification or ability to obtain
  • Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
  • Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
  • Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
  • One year of full-time experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred
