We are excited to announce two Full-Time opportunities for passionate and dedicated Women’s Health Providers to join our growing team in New Haven. The role involves offering outstanding outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care to medically underserved women, working alongside a dedicated mission-minded team of Women’s Health providers with the support of a large multispecialty community health center. The Women’s Health Department at Cornell Scott Hill Health Center is looking to fill a weekday outpatient-only position for a WHNP, or CNM. As part of our team, you will provide a balance of obstetric care (prenatal and postpartum only), gynecologic care (preventive and problem visits), and gynecologic procedures as desired. Our obstetric patients deliver with the Yale physician and midwifery service at Yale New Haven Hospital. Our patients also benefit from our full scope of gynecologic services – from well woman visits to major and minor gynecologic surgery, and everything in between. The Women’s Health Department is a close-knit team where we value the critical contributions of every member of our staff, and where our patients feel truly known and cared for. The Cornell Scott Hill Health Center is a prominent community health center with sites throughout the greater New Haven area. In addition to comprehensive primary care, we provide numerous medical specialties (e.g. dermatology, neurology, rheumatology, and more), adult and pediatric dental services, and extensive behavioral health services with behavioral health providers embedded in our primary care sites. We are closely integrated with Yale School of Medicine and Yale School of Nursing, and we partner with numerous local organizations to enhance the health of our community. The Women’s Health PA/NP/CNM is an advanced practice provider (APP) responsible for providing outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care in accordance with established clinical practice guidelines. The PA/NP/CNM administers direct prenatal and postpartum patient services, gynecologic preventive and problem-based care, and office-based procedures as appropriate. He or she provides educational and other related services to patients, may educate health professions students, and performs administrative duties pertaining to clinical care and department operations as needed. The PA/NP/CNM may participate in quality improvement, research, community presentations, professional meetings, and related committees.
