The WMS Solution Architect is responsible for leading advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations—particularly for Manhattan SCALE. This individual will bring senior-level expertise to help drive more complex WMS solutions in-house, reduce dependency on external partners, and improve overall system performance. The role combines configuration, integration work, and the ability to extend functionality through custom development.

  • WMS Architecture & Implementation Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Manhattan SCALE solutions.
  • Support integrations involving APIs, conveyors, robotics, automation systems, and e-commerce workflows.
  • Translate operational requirements into scalable WMS configurations.
  • Troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance across multiple sites.
  • Development & Technical Enhancement Write and maintain stored procedures, scripts, and custom extensions (SQL, C#, or similar).
  • Build APIs and integrations to support automation, conveyors, or warehouse robotics.
  • Partner with operations, engineering teams, and implementation partners.
  • Subject-Matter Leadership Serve as senior internal expert for complex SCALE implementations (levels 6–9 complexity).
  • Mentor junior WMS team members and raise overall system competency.
  • Help evaluate and reduce contractor workloads while ensuring continuity of service.
  • 5–10+ years of experience with Manhattan SCALE or similar WMS platforms.
  • Experience with complex warehouse environments (automation, multi-site workflows, e-commerce integration, conveyors/robotics preferred).
  • Strong SQL and stored-procedure development experience.
  • Prior ownership of full WMS implementation lifecycles.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder-facing presence; ability to lead meetings and drive decisions.
  • Experience reducing reliance on external WMS partners or managed services.
  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or large-scale warehouse operations.
  • Programming exposure (C#, .NET, scripting languages) for system extensions.
