Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Wiring Technician – ATS to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will wire electrical components for switchgear systems based on schematics and engineering drawings. Your work will ensure reliable power solutions that support our global customers. We have 1st and 2nd shift opportunities!
Requirements
- Previous experience in electrical wiring, panel building, or switchgear assembly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Proficient in using wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Basic understanding of electrical theory and safety standards (OSHA, NEC).
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install and connect wiring for electrical switchgear components based on detailed schematics, diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Mount relays, circuit breakers, switches, busbars, and other electrical hardware into enclosures using hand and power tools.
- Route, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables accurately and efficiently using proper techniques and tools.
- Conduct self-inspections of wiring to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and code standards.
- Assist in functional testing of wiring systems and troubleshoot issues such as miswires or component malfunctions.
- Follow work instructions and document completed wiring tasks according to production requirements.
- Work safely around electrical components and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
