About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA), ETC (Electrical Technical Center) Electrical Design organization has a great opportunity for a Wiring Design Engineer (Entry-Level or Associate) in Everett, WA and Renton, WA to help us define the future of commercial aerospace with innovative ideas that advance our culture of safety and quality that our customers, the flying public, expect. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry-Level and Associate Wiring Design and Installation Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in field of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace or Material Science.
• Experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design.
• Experience using wire design tools such as WIRS, MAPPER, CADDS and/or Capital Logic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical wire harness detail, assembly and installation designs for advanced Commercial Aircraft.
• Integrate functional system requirements into an efficient logical and physical wire harness architecture throughout the airplane.
• Consider proper materials and parts selection based on electrical and environmental properties.
• Ensure functional separation based on systems safety and failure analysis.
• Assist with engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests and shop revision requests).
• Collaborate with partners on the factory floor to ensure designs can be built efficiently and safely.
• Learn and follow detailed processes, specifications and procedures that support safe and quality design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
• Collect data to support the development of statements of work.
• Assist in the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
• Support critical analysis and design reviews.
