  • Responsible for processing a high volume of Domestic and International wires through various channels, using wire platform systems with first level permissions.
  • Ensure all wire information is correct including ABA numbers and SWIFT codes are valid.
  • Follow regulatory compliance procedures for wire area.
  • File all incoming and outgoing wires.
  • Maintain daily log sheets of wire activity and send notifications as requested.
  • Review, process exceptions, and balance reports for wire process.
  • Process wire traces and research.
  • Create solutions and system enhancements when feasible.
  • Research and resolve Members' problems or complaints related to wire traces and non-receipt of funds, draft and gather documentation to accurately respond back through verbal and/or written communication.
  • Provide problem resolution and direction to other departments and branches regarding Member inquires, concerns and issues.
  • Detect fraud to prevent losses to the Credit Union.
  • Provide back-up and coverage to other department positions.
  • Support and answer phone queue and manage email.
  • Provide project support and implementation.
  • Analyze processes and recommend changes for efficiency and service.
  • Compile monthly status report, general ledger reconciliations and board reports.
  • Provide information to branches and team members as needed related to processes and procedures.
  • Skill in the operation of a PC, with word processing and spreadsheet software and internet access.
  • Knowledge of financial services, credit union industry and regulations, terminology, and procedures preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements for wires.
  • Ability to process wires and similar electronic payments.
  • Ability to work successfully in a high volume, technically oriented job.
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated and resourceful.
  • Ability to make sound judgement and decisions.
  • Ability to accurately calculate interest and dividends and make mathematical computations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of Member account discrepancies while being sensitive to Member issues, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule which will include working on rotating Saturdays.
  • The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree or a minimum of two years’ experience in customer service, accounting, or closely related field with knowledge of document processing preferred.
  • Experience at a financial institution is required.
