About The Position

Plants & Goodwin, Inc. is the industry expert in plugging and abandonment operations in the Appalachian Basin. The position offers a competitive salary range of $90K – $100K depending upon experience, along with various benefits including health, life, dental, vision, and supplementary insurance. Employees can work a flexible schedule that may include out-of-town overnight stays, with a 14-on/7-off work schedule. Additional compensation includes a 4% job bonus based on experience, PTO depending on eligibility, and a $55.00 per diem when out of town.

Requirements

  • College degree in Engineering or similar field.
  • Job training under a senior wireline operator.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with HAZMAT Endorsement preferred.
  • No felony convictions.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass an ATF background check.
  • Willingness to submit to a DOT fingerprint test.
  • Current Blaster License (NYS Dept. of Labor, License & Certification).
  • Knowledge of company policies, HSE standards, and PSL guidelines.
  • Knowledge of special downhole instruments and tools used in oil and natural gas wells.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic equipment function checks.
  • Ability to follow the journey management process.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Computer skills in Windows based operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a two or three-person wireline crew at the well site or shop.
  • Design project plans.
  • Maintain and care for mobile equipment including wireline trucks, crane trucks, and other fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain and care for downhole electronic wireline instruments used for gathering geologic or well geometry data.
  • Interpret well log data and perform some analysis including formation evaluation and production logging.
  • Ensure safe use of explosives and compliance with API RP-67.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, or local enforcement agencies.
  • Adhere to customer rules and policies while on customer’s property.
  • Ensure quality control of log data and service quality.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction with well site services.
  • Demand safe operations for all individuals on the jobsite.
