Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years of wireless system engineering experience in consumer electronic product development
In-depth understanding of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies
Experience in consumer electronics product wireless feature design, modelingsimulation and testing
System performance debugging experience, analytical and problem solving experience
Experience leading technical initiatives across a cross-functional organization

Nice To Haves

8+ years of wireless system engineering experience
End-to-end wireless system hands-on simulation and lab testing experience
Wide cross-functional team collaboration experience
Proficiency with one or more of the following programming or scripting languages: Matlab, Python, CC++
In-depth understanding of cellular technologies
Experiences with Cellular, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth standards

Responsibilities

Analyze wireless subsystem requirements (including but not limited to RF, PHY, MAC, protocol, and application level performance) based on product requirements and use cases
Design and specify the wireless system architecture, algorithm, protocol and procedure fitting the future VR use cases with stringent functional, quality, performance, footprint and power requirements
Set system performance expectation for wireless subsystems and drive the wireless architecture (hardwaresoftware) with other cross-functional teams achieving product performance optimization
Interface and collaborate with wireless chipset vendors to ensure system requirements, such as RFbaseband performance, system control architecture, HWSW interface architectures and longer term technology roadmaps
Research new technologies and analyze competition technologies, design new algorithmsprotocols and specify solution options to solve complicated problems for future VR products
Analyze system performance issues and chipsetfirmwaresoftware defects, and improve broad system level performance during product cycle
Knowledge of radio coex requirements (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth) and features across wireless technologies including analyzing use case performance in coex scenario, defining coex policies that optimize VR user experiences
