The Wireless Resident Engineer role at Cisco is a customer-funded position focused on leading technical deliverables for Expert Care services. This position involves providing reactive support, building relationships with customer operational teams, and delivering network-level problem resolution. The engineer will also conduct training to enhance customer technical skills, perform root cause analysis, and lead quarterly business reviews to articulate value and build trust with customers.

  • Lead the technical deliverables of Expert Care services for customers.
  • Provide reactive support and build relationships with customer operational teams.
  • Deliver network-level problem resolution, including troubleshooting and diagnosis.
  • Conduct Transfer of Information (TOI) to improve customer technical skills and processes.
  • Deliver detailed Root Cause Analysis and software referrals to customers.
  • Perform Reactive trend Analysis to proactively manage chronic network problems.
  • Lead the technical section of the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) to build trust and articulate value.
  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience with over 10 years in wireless network architecture and telecommunications support.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, support, or operations.
  • Deep expertise in Cisco Wireless Solutions.
  • Strong understanding of wireless technology and RF propagation issues.
  • Well-versed in networking protocols, security technologies, and industry standard processes.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills.
  • Crisis management skills.
  • Ability to mentor and coach others.
  • Experience in analyzing complex wireless networks.
