Our wireless SOC organization is responsible for all aspects of wireless silicon development, taking care of challenges from the sophisticated usages, more fast paced performances and reliabilities to enable emerging wireless applications and products. Our goals are to come up with innovative architectures and protocols, integrate systems and algorithms with employing the sophisticated technologies to introduce our innovative products, providing evolutions to our lives.

Requirements

  • BSEE with 3+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Understanding of RF and analog components/modules composited of wireless communication systems.
  • Knowledge of possible impairments from RF and analog components and corresponding calibration and impairment reduction methods/algorithms.
  • Proven track record of RF calibration algorithm for RF impairments.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python and/or C/C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation.
  • Hands-on experience on lab testing & characterization, such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, signal analyzer, power meter, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • MSEE/PhD with relevant experience.
  • Understanding of communication theory, information theory, & signal processing related algorithms design.
  • Analytical capability to develop outstanding solutions in terms of performance, power and area for physical layer design.
  • Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols: Cellular technologies (5G-NR and prior iteration), WiFi (802.11) or Bluetooth/BLE.
  • Circuit design experience or knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system model of RF/analog design, radio chain modeling, coordinated radio interaction models, multifaceted behavior models and assess associate impairments.
  • Evaluate radio performance on various application scenarios.
  • Work on architecting various calibration and correction methods for radio impairments.
  • Collaborate with HW digital designers and architects, products, radio, analog designers, and SW/FW engineers to define and specify the wireless systems.
  • Work with digital designers to realize different physical and/or radio compensation algorithms.
  • Collaborate with firmware designers to realize different physical/radio compensation algorithms with high efficiency software implementation.
  • Bring up, test, characterize, tune up, and optimize real silicon in lab to the production qualities.
