About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Network SME to lead the design, architecture, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise wireless infrastructure across global campuses and mission-critical environments. This role will serve as the technical authority for wireless technologies, partnering with Network Engineering, NOC, and SRE teams to ensure scalable, high-performance, and secure wireless connectivity supporting engineering, research, and business operations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise wireless networking
  • Deep expertise in WiFi 6 / 6E (WiFi 7 preferred)
  • Strong RF design and spectrum analysis experience
  • Experience supporting large-scale, global enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise wireless platforms (e.g., Cisco, Aruba, Juniper Mist, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of 802.11 standards, 802.1X authentication, RADIUS, and NAC solutions
  • Experience conducting and interpreting RF site surveys (Ekahau or equivalent)

Nice To Haves

  • CWNP certifications (CWNE, CWDP, CWAP)
  • Experience with Private 5G or CBRS
  • Exposure to automation tools (Python, Ansible, APIs)

Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Design Lead end-to-end wireless network architecture and design for global campuses, labs, and enterprise environments
  • Design high-density Wi-Fi deployments (WiFi 6/6E/7)
  • Conduct predictive and post-deployment RF site surveys
  • Develop global standards for wireless deployment, configuration, and performance optimization
  • Evaluate and implement emerging wireless technologies (e.g., Private 5G, CBRS)
  • Engineering & Optimization Perform RF planning, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation
  • Optimize wireless performance for high-density user and device environments
  • Develop capacity planning models and scalability strategies
  • Implement wireless QoS strategies to support latency-sensitive applications
  • Operations & Escalation Act as L3/L4 escalation point for complex wireless incidents
  • Partner with NOC teams to define monitoring standards and operational runbooks
  • Collaborate with Network SRE teams on automation, telemetry, and reliability improvements
  • Define wireless SLAs and performance metrics
  • Security & Compliance Implement secure wireless authentication frameworks (802.1X, EAP-TLS, RADIUS, NAC integration)
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards
  • Support network segmentation and zero-trust initiatives
  • Documentation & Governance Develop and maintain high-level and low-level design documentation
  • Drive vendor evaluations and technical RFP processes
  • Establish global wireless design and deployment standards
