About The Position

As a Wireless Engineer you will be responsible for troubleshooting the customers' LAN and Wireless infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting of switching and wireless equipment needed to supply connectivity to all areas of the site. The wireless engineer will have to work closely with the support team and the customer in order to ensure that the problem has been resolved. The role might include oversight of staging/configuration team, which is in place to stage and configure all switches and wireless equipment in preparation processes. This position's working hours will be 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday. This is a full-time opportunity that will require travel throughout the Chicagoland area.

Requirements

  • CCNA certification required.
  • 2+ years' experience with network integration or network support.
  • Experience configuring and managing Cisco wireless devices, including access points, controllers, and wireless LANs (WLANs).
  • Proficiency in Cisco network protocols and services, such as VLANs, QoS, and IP addressing.
  • Experience with wireless surveys, AirMagnet preferred.
  • Experience with Cisco wireless controllers.
  • Excellence in documentation and communication.
  • Must have a car for travel between locations and transportation of equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • AirMagnet survey or Mobility Service Engine (MSE) experience.
