About The Position
The purpose of this position is to support emergency communications for the public safety/first responder users of St. Charles County. Provides 1st through 2nd tier technical support, provisioning and operation of the county-wide P25 radio system, microwave radio system, LAN/WAN networks, and mobile-data system. Cross-trains in functional areas to prepare for assisting with more complex technical and engineering tasks. Under general supervision, performs routine operational tasks, such as installing, configuring, provisioning, testing, maintaining, and repairing equipment within the radio network and site facilities systems. Interacts with contractors and customers, conducts systems training, and consults with end-users.
