The Wire Payments Specialist serves as a subject matter expert in ensuring compliance with applicable laws/regulations, including departmental procedures regarding wire transfers. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
  • 0-2 years of banking/wire-transfer experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming and outgoing wires in compliance with bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Monitor queues and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with banking officers to secure proper approvals for wire policy exceptions.
  • Setup CIF records in accordance with the wire agreement obtained by the Frontline.
  • Perform call back verifications to customers when required.
  • Investigate, close and provide error resolution.
  • Submit wire recalls and track progress of returns.
  • Communicate with external financial institutions in regard to wire transfers.
  • Monitor and report fraudulent activity.
  • Assist in the implementation of new products and software to gain / enhance operational efficiencies.
