About The Position

The Wire Operator position is responsible for the processing of incoming and outgoing domestic, international US fund and foreign fund wires. The Wire Operator monitors the wire platform, balance in Fed. This position is responsible for maintaining the Wire Agreements for non-present wires, issuing Wire PINs, and foreign check processing through our correspondent bank.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Entry, verification, and release of daily wires
  • Monitors incoming and outgoing wire activity
  • Maintenance and set up of wire notifications
  • Reconciliation of daily wires and auditing of security activity performed by administrative staff
  • Domestic and International wire activity
  • Reviews OFAC data for all incoming and outgoing wires, stopping transactions if needed
  • Monitors current balance at Fed and Wells Fargo and reports to Accounting.
  • Requests rates from correspondent bank for foreign fund wires and enters foreign fund wires for frontline staff
  • Various reconciliations, block post and filing duties, I-Pay Reconciliation
  • Prepares wire payments for investment transactions to Federated Hermes
  • Assists other staff with various projects
  • Works with other financial institutions in fraudulent wire activity research, sending Fed Svc Message wires and responding to incoming Svc Messages.
  • Organizes retention rotation and boxes
  • Locks in Canadian rates and organizes processing
  • Purchases Canadian cash letters from correspondent bank
  • Advises frontline staff of entries to make for foreign check transactions to ensure proper balancing
  • Balances third party and Prefunded ACH Ban Control accounts daily
  • Review all FIS eWire release documentation for any changes and enhancements as they relate to wires. Coordinate with department Supervisor, as needed, for testing and training on release items.
  • Back up ACH Operator

  • All employees are responsible for internal controls in the performance of their assigned duties. Internal Control responsibilities are established in various policies, procedures, and documents including the Code of Conduct.
