Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated proficiency using banking platforms and common office software and systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
  • Ability to define goals and objectives, organize work, and successfully manage completion of tasks to achieve pre-defined goals and objectives
  • Ability to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Respond timely to wire requests, effectively implement documented controls, and accomplish departmental objectives.
  • Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with an effective standard procedure for authentication of outgoing wire transfer requests.
  • Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with a standard procedure for timely processing and posting of incoming wire transfers.
  • Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with an effective standard procedure for processing outgoing wire transfers and ensure the request is legitimate and funds are available.
  • Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with an effective standard procedure for performing recorded wire transfer authorizations and ensure the request is legitimate, authorized, and archived as required.
  • Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with standard procedures for the proper internal approval of outgoing wire requests by Bank personnel.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with standard procedures that detail the process of monitoring and managing cash position and correspondent back activity including the Bank’s Federal Reserve Account daily.
  • Provide guidance for daily settlement including guidance regarding the process of buying and selling funds, saving daily fed statements, etc.
  • Operate with standard procedures for ordering currency necessary to adequately supply the branch network and offsite ATMs.
  • Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with standard procedures that provide for continuity of wire service in the event of a disaster or less severe interruption to the ongoing business processes.
  • Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with standard procedures for monitoring and reporting wire department activity to include performance to budget, volume of incoming and outgoing wires, etc. to create management awareness.
  • Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with standard procedures that confirm compliance with any laws or regulations governing wire transfer (BSA/OFAC, etc.).
  • Complete training, as assigned, within the expected timeframes.
