About The Position

The Winter Lift Attendant is responsible for maintaining orderly and safe passenger traffic conditions at the ski lifts, advising and assisting passengers with loading and unloading procedures, and ensuring that all guests have valid tickets or season passes. This role requires excellent guest relations and adherence to safety protocols during the operation of chairlifts, the Mountain Coaster, and the tubing hill. The position is seasonal, running from November 10, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with the possibility of changes based on business needs. A free season pass is provided for the employee and their dependents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic machinery operation skills.
• Ability to ski/snowboard intermediate runs.
• Alertness and ability to conduct virtual interviews and training sessions.
• Minimum age of 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Previous lift operations, ski resort, or customer service experience.
• Completion of required Lift Operations training courses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper and safe loading and unloading of guests, using excellent guest service skills.
• Maintain excellent entry, loading/unloading ramps, and maze areas, removing excess snow as needed.
• Be familiar with lift start-up, shut-down procedures, safety checks, and daily logs.
• Conduct pre-operational safety checks and relay information regarding daily lift logs.
• Be knowledgeable in all Lift Department procedures and policies.
• Monitor machinery sounds, temperature, and alignment.
• Advise operator and supervisor of any unusual occurrences regarding lift operations.
• Complete lift and Mountain Coaster incident reports accurately.
• Communicate between stations on assigned lift as needed.
• Scan and verify all lift tickets/passes for validity.
• Assist skiers and snowboarders with current mountain information.
• Maintain smooth and well-groomed mazes by adding or removing snow.
• Build and maintain strong departmental unity and team spirit.
• Inform guests of the correct use of Mountain Coaster carts.
• Be knowledgeable in Mountain Coaster evacuation procedures.
• Understand Tubing Hill operation and responsibilities.
• Train other attendants and operators to required standards.
