About The Position

The Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the Department of Learning and Teaching during the Winter 2026 Session (Monday, December 22, 2025 through Friday, January 16th, 2026). Successful applicants will instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in a demonstrated specialization and/or content areas (Math, Science, Literacy/English, Social Studies, Technology, Elementary Education, Language Education, Adult and Continuing Education and/or Foundation areas). Courses will be taught in a range of modalities. Course appointments are in the New Brunswick area, as well as, hybrid/online format.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree Required.
  • Some prior teaching experience is preferred.
  • Doctorate Degree Preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching in Higher Education.
  • Experience teaching/working in a P-12 setting.
  • Experience teaching in an Urban setting.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in specified content areas.
  • Return required paperwork and attend orientations.
  • Submit syllabi and respond to student emails.
  • Submit assessments and final grades as per contract.
