About The Position

The Wintel System Administrator position is based in Rochester, NY, and requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field. The role involves managing Windows infrastructure and requires expertise in various technologies including SCCM, Ansible, PowerShell, and Cloud services. The candidate should have extensive experience in Citrix administration, networking principles, and Active Directory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer.
  • 5+ years' experience designing, installing, and maintaining Citrix XenApp, NetScaler Gateway, Citrix Storefront, or Citrix Director.
  • 5+ years' experience working in an environment with complex networking solutions.
  • 5+ years' experience managing enterprise level Active Directory Structures.
  • 5+ years' experience creating and maintaining complex Microsoft Group Policy implementations.
  • 5+ years' experience creating, maintaining, and following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and problem resolution.
  • 3+ years' experience configuring and maintaining key services such as DNS, SFTP, SMTP, and NTP.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player.
  • ITIL Knowledge.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Citrix Administration with both XenApp and XenDesktop with multiple sites and farms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain documentation of all processes associated with administration of Wintel environments and duties performed by system administrators.
  • Work with the Engineering and Operations teams on the development of patches that will be applied to the Production system.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and reviewing complete system documentation.
  • Assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned systems.
  • Perform audits and analysis of application environments for the purpose of ensuring proper configuration management and consistency.
  • Work within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies.
  • Oversee network computer resources and installation of new equipment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and trends, as well as new developments for the technologies deployed/supported.
  • Interact with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues.
  • Assist with team member training and continually look for areas of improvement while providing a high level of service delivery and systems administration.
  • Follow ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Monitor and tune appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
