About The Position

Cimarron is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.

Requirements

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • 2 or more years of general, full-time work experience. May be reduced with the completion of advanced education.
  • 2 or more years of experience designing, integrating, or managing complex infrastructure solutions (e.g., VMware, Citrix, LAN/WAN design).
  • Experience as a Windows systems engineer or administrator supporting a large enterprise, including Active Directory, Windows Server 2012R2/2016, and WSUS/SCCM Patch Management.
  • General networking experience including switching and routing.
  • Current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (ex., CompTIA Security+ with CE).

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco IOS experience (installation and updates).
  • Facilities-Related Control System (FRCS) experience.
  • Experience with Windows Group Policy Management.
  • Experience with Asset and Configuration Management.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and eMASS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and weekly system health checks on the FILAN (Facilities Infrastructure Local Area Network) to ensure normal maintenance functions are operating properly.
  • Monitor and respond to events reflected in management and server patch management tools.
  • Administer Microsoft servers, workstations, and network infrastructure, including troubleshooting, break/fix activities, patching and remediation, and system audit log reviews.
  • Coordinate with other work centers and personnel to resolve Remedy incidents related to systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Attend crew/team, staff, change, and configuration management meetings as required.
  • Participate in forward-thinking initiatives and automate processes where feasible.
