About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Windows Systems Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team supporting a mission-critical federal environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Windows-based systems, networks, and applications. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
  • Experience with Windows deployment and configuration tools (SCCM, MDT)
  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery concepts and procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a secure, fast-paced environment
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph (must be a current active clearance)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Linux (Server and/or Workstation)
  • Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, and/or Bash
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent industry certifications
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint protection
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
  • SQL Server administration experience
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools and frameworks (e.g., ServiceNow)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and support Windows-based server and desktop environments
  • Administer and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and related core services
  • Deploy and manage Windows systems using enterprise deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT)
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources
  • Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, and in-person support
  • Administer and support enterprise email systems, including Microsoft Exchange and Outlook
  • Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations
  • Develop, maintain, and update system administration documentation and procedures
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure successful integration of new technologies
  • Apply operating system updates, security patches, and best practices
  • Travel up to 20% as required for on-site installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting at customer sites or data centers
