About The Position

The Windows Systems Admin/Engineer role is focused on engineering tasks related to Windows systems security and hardening. This position requires a hands-on approach in both lab and local store environments, supporting a variety of devices in a retail setting. The role involves collaboration with partner teams, analysis of security vulnerabilities, and technical support for hardware integration and management.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in security, deployment, and incident response activity roles.
  • Familiarity with retail point of sale hardware environments.
  • Experience with supporting Windows and Android Operating Systems.
  • Experience with Active Directory and group policy.
  • Familiarity with basic Networking operations and services (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN).
  • Able to write scripts/code using PowerShell and Python.
  • Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager.
  • Experience with Splunk and Qualys.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management solutions.
  • Familiarity with tools like Onspring and New Relic is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS/Azure is a plus.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize, execute, and deliver independently with minimal supervision.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible to provide support and troubleshoot during overnight deployments.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with tools like Onspring and New Relic.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS/Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with partner teams.
  • Engage in regular touchpoints to support an ongoing feedback loop for ways to solve security findings.
  • Review and analyze security findings and vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and document recommended solutions and deployment processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, communicate, and report on the status of lab and production releases.
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop related telemetry to provide insight to deployments.
  • Support testing with the ability to troubleshoot errors, requiring in-person support in the Seattle Lab.
