We are seeking an experienced Windows Server and Commvault Data Protection administrator with extensive knowledge and experience in designing, developing, configuring, implementing, testing, troubleshooting, deploying, and supporting server builds (physical & Virtual) and backup and recovery technical solutions for a large-scale enterprise environment. This is a critical role that will contribute to the stability and security of our IT infrastructure.

  • Administer Windows servers in a physical and/or virtualized environment for 3 - 5 years.
  • Diagnose Windows operating system and associated software issues.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and basic network issues.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of TCP/IP LAN/wireless networking principles and application protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP).
  • Troubleshoot servers, hardware, complex backup and recovery problems, basic networking, application, and appliance related server or backup issues.
  • Use a variety of tools commonly leveraged in a complex enterprise environment such as remote assistance, asset management, image and deployment, patching, backup and restore, and endpoint protection.
  • Manage VMware, Active Directory, group policy, and server administration skills including monitoring performance and file permissions.
  • Provide analytics, usage, capacity planning, and reporting within the Commvault management and monitoring solution.
  • Design, develop, configure, integrate, and secure complex backup, recovery, and storage products over wide area networks (WAN).
  • Create and maintain optimal backup, restore, and redundancy solutions for critical data.
  • Review, plan, and participate in executing regularly scheduled maintenances on the backup/recovery infrastructure.
  • Administer Commvault CommCell, storage libraries/media agents, job troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Develop and manage backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies to meet business, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement regular security updates and patches to related backup application servers and appliances.
  • Collaborate with operation teams to develop and support enterprise infrastructure processes, tools, and environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Commvault data protection applications.
  • Ability to perform upgrades to the environment such as updates, patches, or critical fixes.
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, Microsoft Windows Servers and storage.
  • Experience with Dell server and storage related systems.
  • Ability to perform security related tasks including documentation, review, assessment support, patch management, and auditing.
  • Past experience working with cybersecurity teams to validate the security of servers.
  • Commvault Certification.
  • Experience with other technologies related to LAN, WAN, and Microsoft Windows Servers.
