About The Position

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Windows Domain System Engineer at our Honolulu, Hawaii location. The Windows Domain System Engineer, as part of the Network Operations team, is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and security compliance of Windows domain systems, virtualized workloads, and endpoint infrastructure across multiple DoD enclaves. This role provides direct operational support to engineering efforts and contributes to the stability, performance, and security posture of mission systems. Relocation assistance is authorized if selected candidate resides out of state.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant experience with bachelor's in related field; 3 years of relevant experience with master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ with CE (DoD 8570 baseline)
  • One of the following: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Endpoint Administrator Associate, Administrator Expert, or Cybersecurity Architect Expert Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, SCCM/MECM, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Administer Windows 11 virtual desktop clients (VDI) — deploying images, enforcing policies, and optimizing performance
  • Develop, manage, and troubleshoot Windows domain Group and Local Policies structure, inheritance, customizations, and settings
  • Deploy and manage MECM environment, patching, and endpoint configurations including host based firewalls and data loss prevention
  • Apply and validate DISA STIGs on Windows systems; remediate findings in support of POA&M closure
  • Execute monthly patching and system updates across enclave endpoints and servers
  • Support and maintain VMware virtual infrastructure, including ESXi hosts and guest VMs, in collaboration with virtualization engineers
  • Monitor system performance, conduct troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues to IT engineering leads
  • Maintain backup schedules, perform test restorations, and contribute to disaster recovery planning
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including maintenance procedures, configurations, patch logs, and incident response records
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for technical issues across NETOPS-managed systems
  • Participate in NETOPS planning and change management activities, ensuring all system changes are coordinated and documented
