The Engineer II develops and maintains technical solutions that adhere to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting business requirements. Provides technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security; includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards. Define, engineer, and design Enterprise-wide Windows-based end-user platforms and their corresponding management policies and infrastructure. Define, engineer, and design support and control mechanisms for all such platforms including group policy. Assess and select product capabilities and features, ensure multiple technologies are not providing overlapping capabilities, driving down technology complexity, and driving cost reductions. Create high level design documents, including estimated hardware, detailed program specifications, and resourcing costs. Interface with the security controls and risk teams. Provide 3rd level consultation requests and support.

  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expert knowledge of engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong academic background in computer science or engineering.
  • Deep systems internal knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, particularly Windows 10/11.
  • Advanced scripting skills and knowledge of Windows PowerShell.
  • Advanced knowledge of group policy management.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Office 365, and Azure.
  • Experience with modern Remote Access VPN solutions.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, Azure AD.
  • Programming languages including C++, C#, .NET Framework, Visual Studio IDE.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Mobility Management solutions.
  • Experience with macOS and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with RESTful web-based APIs.
