Peraton is seeking a Windows Desktop System Administrator to work at USSTRATCOM - Offutt AFB, Nebraska. The role involves remaining current on hardware and software advancements, assisting in designing systems and solutions to satisfy customer needs, and verifying system performance after hardware and software installation. The administrator will manage product/service issue resolution and upgrades, handle the administration and support of print services, and manage the operation, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines and their management consoles (Treidici, Wyse Management Suite (WMS), 10Zig Management Console). Additionally, the role includes diagnosing technical problems, escalating unresolved issues according to established procedures, and suggesting potential alternative courses of action. Documenting problem resolutions with precision and detail, managing and tracking work progress using Remedy and Service Now ticketing systems, and researching and reporting on technical capabilities of company products and competing solutions are also key responsibilities. The administrator will develop and improve systems and system-oriented products to enhance functionality, efficiency, and reliability, prepare and deliver system analysis to inform the sales force and customers on product features and benefits, and coordinate equipment projects from conception to completion, integrating engineering and programming knowledge with the use of sophisticated instruments and computers. Advising management on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance existing technology and its application, developing and maintaining technical documentation, and collaborating effectively with team members while providing friendly, efficient, and professional customer service in support of DoD customers in a demanding environment are also essential aspects of the position.
