Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Windows Desktop Support Tech, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. As a Windows Desktop Support Tech, you will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for support and maintenance of Desktops and Peripherals for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The selected candidate for this requisition may be required to occasionally (e.g. application upgrades) work outside normal business hours.

  • Provide desktop hardware and software support for end-users.
  • Image and deploy Windows 11 client computers to areas across the Base.
  • Maintain working knowledge of equipment hardware, software and/or networks and participate in the review of new technologies.
  • Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, etc.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Analyze and resolve hardware, software, or network issues.
  • Configure and maintain Office 365 environment and ensure smooth operation.
  • Monitor and resolve Helpdesk tickets.
  • Implement and manage vulnerability patches to ensure system security.
  • System security configuration, hardening, patching, and monitoring, including implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other DoD security policies.
  • Ensure Cybersecurity requirements are consistently documented, maintained, evaluated and compliant for Air Force IT system networks including components of systems.
  • Work with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure compliance with information assurance regulations and best practices.
  • Provide training to users for the use of hardware, software, and/or peripherals.
  • Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Availability outside of working hours to remediate critical issues with IT Infrastructure as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must currently possess or commit to obtain any requisite certifications required for assuming administrative role in accordance with DoD 8140 within 6 months of hiring date.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current US Citizenship required.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Experience in performing desktop hardware and software setup and configuration.
  • Experience with the following applications and hardware; MS Office 365, MS Visio, Windows 11, creating and managing gold image etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong customer service skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem solving and end-user support skills.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
