BAE Systems is looking for a Windows Administrator to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting an acquisition program for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications System. The successful candidate will provide program and project management support for the Strategic Automated Command Control System (SACCS) Acquisition Programs. This program is designed to extend SACCS systems life and transition into the follow-on system, known as Sentinel ICBM System (formerly Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD)). Candidates may be called upon to augment organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for: Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and systems, including Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Group Policy Objects (GPOs). Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Active Directory group policies, login scripts, DNS and DHCP. Monitor system performance and resource utilization, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. Troubleshoot system and server errors, reviewing system error logs and user-reported problems to implement effective solutions. Maintain Active Directory and virtual servers. Build and configure Windows and VMware servers. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues. Critical thinking and analytical skills. Monitoring system health and resource utilization. Uphold system security management (user access, patch management, vulnerability assessment, scanning). Potential candidates will validate the abilities to accomplish the following activities while demonstrating strong leadership attributes of a team of subject matter experts accomplishing the same: Demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety and security. Attend internal and external meetings as required to cover both business items and customer requirements. Review and approve all correspondence delivered to customers as deliverable item. Follow all required processes, especially the peer review process to ensure quality of products being delivered. Accountable to the Program Manager for tasks/assignments. Shall serve as a focal point for individual tasks and applicable team projects. Directly support government leadership and maintain strong customer relationships. Maintain other duties as assigned.   • BS/MS in software engineering, computer science, information technologies, data processing with 3 years of directly related experience (2 years with MS degree).
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, Certificate Authorities, WSUS and other core Windows services.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Batch or PowerShell.
  • Experience with databases, patch management, and networks, including LAN and WAN.
  • Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.
  • Package and File system management (DFS).
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP-S).
  • Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work with successful results.
  • Fundamental concepts and technologies associated with Windows Systems Support.
