About The Position

This position involves remote sales of finished products and hardware in Chicago and Indiana, with remote support for Minnesota sales representatives’ territory. The role requires overnight travel approximately every other week. The individual will work closely with sales representatives to identify customers for finished products and drapery hardware, providing assistance in measuring for drapery and hardware, and guidance on hardware motorization and installation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience with window treatments required.
• Workroom knowledge beneficial.
• Ability to learn product lines.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Superb interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work effectively with others.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to travel overnight for most sales territories.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to follow geographical directions.

Responsibilities

• Represents and manages Fabricut, Stroheim, Vervain, S. Harris, and Trend in a professional manner and appearance.
• Develops and maintains good relationships with current and potential customers.
• Advises customers on the kind and quantity of fabric needed for window treatments and appropriate hardware for specific uses.
• Discusses features and qualities of fabric such as weave, texture, color, and usage.
• Teaches customers how to navigate the Fabricut websites for finished products and hardware.
• Assists and teaches customers how to accurately measure window treatments and hardware.
• Writes up quotes for window treatments and hardware.
• Responds to customer questions and problems in a timely manner, offering solutions quickly and mediating challenges fairly.
• Interfaces with other departments to provide good service.
• Displays good safety and housekeeping practices.
• Uses material and equipment effectively.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
