About The Position

This position exists to support the window sales effort with providing customers current product knowledge, accurate, competitive quoting, consistent follow-up along with positive internal "teamwork" to increase business in a cost efficient manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months of window sales experience.
  • Ability to write reports or business correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public in English.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Have a good knowledge of window and SGD products that Kimal sells, and be able to effectively and professionally present information about those products and services to builders, homeowners, and other tradesman.

Responsibilities

  • Be committed to customer service above all else - always act with a high standard of service for internal and external customers at all times, acting with professional courtesy, respect and showing a "can do" attitude
  • Assist customers with regards to Anderson, or other wood specialty window and SGD products, creating and following up with quotes and purchasing of orders
  • Develop sales and margin levels that achieve defined company budgets and sales targets, create window and door "take-offs" with emphasis on Anderson products, wood and other specialty wood window products
  • Coordinate vendor shipments of Anderson products with purchasing and receiving documentation
  • Responsible for handling customer complaints and finding reasonable solutions for the mutual benefit of the customer and Kimal Lumber, including assisting in collecting receivables and resolving credit issues
  • Incoming phone calls answered and responded to according to company guidelines, email communication with internal and external customers handled promptly according to company guidelines
  • Learn, utilize and adhere to Kimal's operational policies and procedures in order to process orders and serve customers, adhere to KWAD order processing procedures with minimal errors, documenting for all order files
  • Any other tasks as assigned by management
