About The Position

Transdev in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Transdev is proud to offer: CBA Position: Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: $23.18 - $30.59 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale) Starting pay is $23.18 with progression to $30.59 over 10 years. Benefits include: Vacation: up to 25 days per year Paid Sick Leave: 26 hrs. for full-time employees after 1st year worked progressing up to 40 hrs. after 3rd year worked. Medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience dispatching.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Technical Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.
  • Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
  • Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
  • Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
  • Other duties as required.
