The Window Dispatcher at Transdev plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of transportation services by managing route assignments, providing customer support, and coordinating with bus operators. This position requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to handle various operational challenges and ensure timely service delivery.

  • Assures all routes are filled as assigned and bus operators are provided with timely instructions for operational information throughout the day.
  • Manages road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, ensuring routes begin on time, and monitoring performance and incidents.
  • Provides customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips, lost items, service delays, and cancellations.
  • Resolves problems by working with carrier dispatchers.
  • Fills route openings, standbys, and extra board operators' schedules.
  • Utilizes computer software to retrieve scheduled information and reference material to assist clients and operators.
  • Provides excellent customer service to operators and passengers while completing daily reports and clerical duties.
  • Manages emergency situations for vehicle operators and acts as a liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
  • Answers and directs business calls to appropriate personnel, communicating professionally with accuracy to all staff.
  • Ensures all cash, vouchers, and lost and found items are properly counted and secured.
  • Fills out and sends accurate end-of-shift reports and ensures manifests, stand-by sheets, and call-out sheets are accurately filled out.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Customer service and/or Call Center experience is required.
  • Knowledge of basic and multi-task computer operation in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to utilize a standard business telephone system for communication.
  • Ability to interact with interdepartmental personnel.
  • Competitive Salary: $21.69 an hr.
