About The Position
ASSEMBLER – WINDOW DOOR SHOP About Us Builders Supply is the Midwest’s largest independently owned lumberyard, owned 100% by its employees. For more than 70 years, Builders Supply has provided service to contractors and the public for all of their commercial and residential building needs. DESCRIPTION You will be responsible for preparing and assembling various casings, jambs, and window placement per order specifications with hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure
- Safe, reliable, self-starter attitude
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug test and lifting test)
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Minimally must be able to lift 50-100 pounds without assistance
Responsibilities
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely
- Using appropriate machine to bore and route hinge placements for interior/exterior doors
- Pick and pull production material
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
