About The Position

Window World of Indianapolis is seeking a versatile and skilled Measure & Service Technician to join our team. This dynamic role encompasses both the accurate measurement for new window and door installations and the ability to troubleshoot and repair existing installations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and possess a strong aptitude for technical problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in window and door installation, service, or a related field is a must.
  • Must be able to use a CRM program to enter notes after every appt and upload documents.
  • Ability to learn our order entry programs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair window and door systems.
  • Meticulous in measurements and documentation to ensure accuracy and avoid errors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with both customers and internal teams.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with clients.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct precise measurements of windows, doors, and related structures to ensure proper fit and functionality for new installations.
  • Accurately record all measurements and relevant details in our standardized documentation system.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, addressing questions and concerns regarding the measurement process.
  • Thoroughly understand Window World products, installation techniques, and potential issues.
  • Investigate customer complaints or reported problems, diagnose issues, and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Perform repairs on windows and doors, addressing malfunctions, leaks, drafts, or other concerns.
  • Load and maintain a well-organized vehicle inventory of necessary parts and tools for service calls.
  • Plan and manage daily schedule to maximize efficiency and meet customer needs.
  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding arrival times, updates, and any necessary rescheduling.
