Role The Winder Operator has the qualifications and business acumen to effectively run the Winder, Prewrap and Core Cutter to meet customer specifications.

Requirements

1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge and experience with GMP principles.

Responsibilities

Operates Winder, Prewrap and Core Cutter
Computer software understanding
Splices defects, metal and contaminants from material.
Ensures all flags have been removed from the material and turned into QA
Ensures metal detector is validated twice a shift
Ensures edge quality on finished rolls
Ensures slit width is within customer specifications
Assists threadup at the Reel or Calender during startups if time permits
Responsible for housekeeping at Winder, Pre-wrap and Sorting table
Informs Lab operator, Lead Operator, and Shift Leader if metal is found.
Replenish tape, cores, blades and other supplies necessary
Ensure tools are on the shadow board
Other duties as assigned
Communicate with team members as needed, including a shift hand-off with previous and oncoming operator on shift review and planning
