About The Position

The Wind Turbine Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for the safe operations and maintenance of wind turbines and Balance of Plant (BOP) at Cedar Point. The role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting the completion of inspections under the guidance of Lead technicians, with a focus on improving uptime and production.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and about 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand drawings and schematics.
• Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Windows programs.
• Demonstrated basic industrial safety practices including LOTO.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Passport.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with wind turbines or related technologies.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Enbridge safety standards and procedures.
• Support the completion of scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting of turbines.
• Assist in the completion of asset integrity inspections and unscheduled work.
• Support electrical switching of turbines and utilize SCADA for required work.
• Follow structured problem-solving processes for basic troubleshooting tasks.
• Perform data entry in the Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
