About The Position

The WTG and Foundation Safety Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring health and safety compliance for offshore wind farm projects. This position involves delivering safety documentation, managing projects, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The engineer will collaborate with various departments to achieve project goals while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process, Industrial, or Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of design safety experience in a delivery-oriented environment.
• Experience in offshore wind farms, marine works, or oil and gas operations.
• Experience with WTG equipment, foundation fabrication and installation, and cable interfaces.
• Experience with design hazard assessments and large infrastructure project coordination.
• Proficiency with database systems and documentation administration.
• OEUK Medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health and safety documents, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with various departments to achieve project goals.
• Manage projects to completion, maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Develop and manage project documentation aligned with strategic objectives.
• Conduct workshops and inductions to ensure compliance with US legislation.
• Perform risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations.
• Design and oversee safety protocols and procedures.
• Review manufacturing processes and suggest safety improvements.
• Define and manage incident reporting requirements.
• Provide H&SE support through regular meetings and site inspections.
• Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop hazard assessments and review fire protection plans.
• Implement safety processes using hazard analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
• Apply standards and best practices for large-scale projects.
• Conduct product audits at various project stages.
• Contribute to HS&E, Construction Phase, and Emergency Response Plans.
• Review safety, rescue, and evacuation plans.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety regulations.
• Capture and share lessons learned to improve business practices.
• Act as a safety leader, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
