Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction

The Project Manager serves as the single point of responsibility for accomplishing project objectives and ensuring that established practices, procedures, and company goals are implemented in key areas such as safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. This role involves leading the project team through all phases of the project from acquisition through pre-construction, execution, and close-out, requiring strong competencies in leadership, communication, planning, and scope management.

  • Assure project abides by all environmental safety awareness and compliance
  • Support and further the company culture, values, Key Results and quality management
  • Document and communicate project progress, performance, and issues to all stakeholders
  • Provide day to day direction and oversight of project resources (staff, equipment, subcontractors) and materials
  • Successfully integrate resources, activities, and deliverables as outlined in the Project Execution Plan
  • Own the project budget, cost, forecast, and schedule
  • Manage all contract documents, risks and changes throughout the project
  • Manage project integration processes and activities
  • Ensure project scope includes all necessary work for successful completion
  • Track and monitor project timelines for timely completion
  • Collaborate with support and operations teams for effective cost management
  • Establish and support quality management processes and activities
  • Organize, manage, and lead the project team
  • Ensure timely and appropriate project communications management
  • Conduct risk management planning and control risks on the project
  • Manage procurement processes for products and services needed for the project
  • Identify and manage stakeholder expectations and engagement strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of five years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Timberline, and Construction Software
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Willingness and ability to travel to job sites 60% of the time.
  • Experience in renewable energy projects
  • Familiarity with project management software
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compensation $120k-$155k / year, commensurate with experience
