About The Position

In this role, you’ll be responsible for both pest control and wildlife services, which makes every day different and exciting. We kick off each morning with a team huddle to get you fired up and ready to seize the day. During this meeting, we’ll review schedules, address any issues from the previous day and ensure everyone has the equipment they need. From there, you’ll be out in the field inspecting properties for pest and wildlife activity, identifying entry points, setting and removing traps and applying pest control treatments using backpack sprayers and other application methods. You’ll also perform exclusion work, sealing vulnerable areas like roof returns, crawl spaces and attics using hand and power tools.

Additionally, because customer service is a major part of the job, you’ll be expected to communicate with homeowners and business owners, explain the services being performed and offer recommendations for ongoing pest and wildlife prevention. While most of your work will be done independently, you’ll stay connected with the office to update job statuses, report any issues and adjust schedules as needed. This role also requires participating in a rotating on-call schedule for animal pickups and emergency services, typically one weekend per month. Finally, while this isn't a sales position, you'll have the opportunity to cross-sell and upsell services and earn a generous commission on any new business you bring in. Pretty cool, right?

Requirements

• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces and on ladders
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical labor, including carrying bags of cement, cutting wire and sheet metal and installing crawlspace access doors and attic ladders
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to follow safety protocols and properly use pest control and exclusion tools

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties for pest and wildlife activity and identify entry points

• Cross-sell and upsell services to customers, earning commission on any new business generated
