The Wildlife Habitat Management Program Chief is a leadership role within the Pennsylvania Game Commission's Bureau of Wildlife Habitat Management. This position is responsible for directing the oil/gas and mineral resource program, overseeing environmental impact assessments, and managing a diverse team of professionals. The chief will collaborate with various specialists and private companies to ensure effective management and protection of wildlife habitats while promoting sustainable practices for future generations.

Direct the Commission's oil/gas and mineral resource program.
Oversee statewide environmental impact assessments for oil/gas and mineral resource recovery operations.
Manage a diverse staff of professional and non-professional employees.
Collaborate with consulting, engineering, and environmental specialists.
Interpret state and federal laws and regulations related to wildlife and habitats.
Develop and implement new or revised technical program rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
Make decisions on day-to-day administration of the program and resolve issues as they arise.

Four years of professional natural resource management experience, including two years in land acquisition or land management work, and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Four years of professional natural resource management experience, including two years in land acquisition or land management work, and four years of paraprofessional or technical experience in natural resource management.
An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of professional natural resource management experience in land acquisition or land management work.

Full-time employment with a structured work schedule from 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Potential for non-negotiable starting salary.
