About The Position
The Oregon Military Department is a state agency that supports the Oregon National Guard. You are NOT required to be a member of the Oregon National Guard to apply for this position. The Oregon Military Department is recruiting for 4 Seasonal Wildland Fire Suppression Specialists. These are full-time permanent state positions. We have two positions located at Camp Rilea in Warrenton, and two positions located at Camp Adair in Corvallis, Oregon. These positions are represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees’ (AFSCME) union. This recruitment will be open continuously until we fill all four positions. The first candidate list will be pulled April 18, 2025. This recruitment may close any time after this date.
