About The Position

As the Wig Maintenance Crew, you'll be collaborating with the rest of the Costume Maintenance team to keep all the costume elements maintained. Your responsibilities will include inspection, repair, cleaning, and restyling of wigs per the guidance of the Wig Shop Supervisor and Hair and Makeup Crew Lead.

Requirements

• Google Suite (Primarily Google Sheets and Docs)
• Ability to lift 30 lbs
• Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and maintain a safe work environment
• Adhere to all rules and regulations required by the Actor's Equity Association (AEA) and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).

Nice To Haves

• at least 2 years of professional work experience in a live theatrical environment as a wig/makeup crew member or equivalent educational experience

Responsibilities

• Basic wig repair
• Wig washing/cleaning
• Wig blocking and styling (E.g. Roller sets and styles)
• Ability to work with performers and staff in a positive and professional manner while on campus at all times
• Ability to listen, take instruction, and to participate in a team to complete the assigned tasks
• Clean and maintain all spaces daily
• Ability to work outside in a desert climate
