Auria is actively seeking a Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Colorado Springs, CO, for the Wideband SATCOM Operations and Technical Support II (WSOTS II) contract. The ideal candidate will provide SME and operations support for WGS satellites and the Global SATCOM Configuration Control Element (GSCCE) for the United States Space Force. This position is critical in ensuring the effective operation and management of WGS satellites, which play a vital role in military communications. The SME will be stationed at the Wideband Watch Office located at Peterson Space Force Base, where they will engage in various technical and operational tasks related to satellite communications. The responsibilities of this role include providing technical assistance, analysis, and informal training on WGS satellites and the GSCCE payload control subsystem. The SME will also support payload controllers in managing and controlling WGS communication payloads, which involves developing and implementing procedures to identify and resolve complex satellite anomalies and conducting performance analysis. Additionally, the SME will support the generation of special data collections to assist in satellite testing, anomaly analysis, and other data required to support Wideband MILSATCOM operations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
