About The Position

Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) is looking for talented and energetic Warehouse Operations System Support Technicians to join our growing team. This position is responsible for maintaining the systems management of the shuttle system by providing technical support, in the form of hardware and software. This role works with warehouse maintenance mechanics on performing maintenance responsibilities of the system. In this role, you will maintain and administer warehouse computer networks and related warehouse computing environments including hardware (ASRS), systems software, applications software, and all configurations regarding Warehouse operations. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware (ASRS), software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. You will operate master consoles to monitor the performance of ASRS systems and networks, and to diagnose and coordinate system faults and issues. Additionally, you will monitor ASRS performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future. You will confer with mechanical support about how to solve existing ASRS problems, analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement, maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs, and coordinate with vendors and company personnel to facilitate purchases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred, or technical degree.
  • 3 years' experience and/or training in general IS preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • General knowledge of LAN/WAN, routers and switches, TCP/IP, EDI, and general telecom technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and judgment in dealing with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents (such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals) and to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished (in written, oral, or diagram form) and to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with WM, Lucas and/or Shiraz system.
  • Previous experience in the Wine and Spirits industry.
  • WSET certifications.
