About The Position

The Warehouse Material Handler II will drive specialized equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials in high-stacking, possibly narrow-aisle warehouse environments. Key responsibilities include operating the High Reach forklift safely, performing pre-operation checks and maintenance, using RF scanners for inventory management, picking and staging orders, and collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient and accurate material handling. The job requires good hand-eye coordination, physical ability to lift and operate the equipment, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety protocols. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience operating a stand-up reach forklift required
  • Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems
  • Understanding of proper stacking and storage methods
  • Forklift certification or ability to be forklift certified (active and valid drivers license required)
  • Experience operating material handling equipment and RF Scanners
  • Meticulous attention to detail for accurate inventory management and order fulfillment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift and handle items up to 75lbs, along with good hand-eye coordination
  • Willingness to work in various shifts, potentially in cold environments, depending on the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Safely maneuver the stand-up reach forklift to lift, move, and place pallets of products in designated high-rack locations within narrow aisles.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, moving materials from the loading dock to their storage locations and preparing outgoing shipments.
  • Use RF (radio frequency) scanners to accurately track inventory, pick orders, and ensure stock is placed in the correct location.
  • Move stock between warehouse locations, staging pallets at shipping docks, and ensuring the efficient movement and organization of goods.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the forklift, report any maintenance or repair needs, and perform minor maintenance to keep the equipment in good working condition.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards and all company safety regulations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and maintaining a clean work environment.
